About What I do

I work from a small town near Tulsa, Oklahoma. I’ve been making videos since I was nine years old, and I’d be content to do it for the rest of my life. I have experience in commercial advertisement production, including but not limited to expertise in commercials, internal-use videos, music videos, and product marketing projects. This is where I express my vision and imagination; I hope you enjoy.

I work with:

    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe Premier Pro
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Cinema 4D
    • Canon DSLR’s (I never touch Nikons)

iPhone 6 Commercial

I thought I’d give the iPhone concept video another shot since the last one proved so fruitful. This shoot was different in that I shot the footage, added some minor color correction, and uploaded it. Compared to my ‘iPhone 5′ video, this one required very little computer work. And some new equipment purchased with the revenue from the last video made production go much more smoothly!

-Ball bearing slider for smooth glides

-100mm L Macro for awesome close-ups

-Glass product table for that ‘Apple White’

-CamRanger + iPad for remote shooting

Shooting at Night

Since I spend the majority of my time working with video (which requires continuous lighting), I just can’t bring myself to buy more than one Speedlight. When taking flash pictures like this, I take multiple shots with the light placed in different places.

Basic rundown:

-Kept my ISO low to avoid noise in the low light

-Made sure my model didn’t move so I could easily align all the shots in Photoshop

-Used masks to use certain parts of the lighting scheme that I wanted

-Added a stylistic lens flare using Optical Flares

-Color graded with Nik Software tools inside Photoshop

Mock Nike Ad: Just do it.

Here is a before-and-after shot of the photo I took of Jakeem Johnson last week. Not so professional looking before running it through Photoshop, eh?

Basic rundown:

-Flashed with a high shutter speed to help freeze the motion even in low lighting

-Cut him out and placed him in the simulated ‘grey’ environment

-Used ‘splatter brushes’ to distort his body

-Used splatter elements from the internet to simulate the ‘decaying’ figure

-Added a fake shadow to add realism

Attempting to Design a Website

Apparently Facebook and Instagram aren’t the most professional ways of showcasing my content, so I took it upon myself to build a personal portfolio website. With the help of numerous YouTube videos, technical support lines, and tech-savvy friends, I have at least launched a preliminary version of what I hope to eventually be a thriving ‘Behind the Scenes’ blog and portfolio. If you are having any technical issues, or have  comments concerning the design or functionality of the site, let me know! Feedback is certainly appreciated. Check back for updates with the release of new content; I hope to begin posting tutorials, updates, and the like.
